Question Looking For Info On 220SE Tach Drive

Got a '65 220SE and need to cover up the tach drive on the block.
I've had this Benz for a lot of years and never knew what that was for.
I remember it was always slightly wet with oil but didn't really pay much attention to it since it wasn't that important.

Now just recently I decided to get this running again so did a tune up and changed some fluids, then noticed oil seeping up in the area at a higher rate than I remember((is that normal)).
Had to google for a couple days to find a close up of left side of motor and just now realized it's for a tach cable.

Is it possible that this engine came out of some other model cause I don't believe any sedans had tachs so no need to have the drives.

So my questions are- what can I use to plug the tach drive? what size cap will work? Thx. Later.

Ok, found out it wasn't original engine, it's got a 2.5 M129 in it. Later.
