dgosh: thank you, it is not ready yet.

kavadarci: just a good glue and "skillful hands" it is not as hard as it looks like.

You are doing an impressive restoration. My first Mercedes was a 1973 280 gasoline sedan, white with blue leather and the twin cam 6 cylinder. After that we had a 1979 300D with same diesel engine as yours and also in the same pastel blue color, so I am enjoying your reports. You will enjoy the way your W115 handles and brakes. I love that the headlight knob and turn signal/wiper control on yours are the same as those on my 1994 E class and 2000 S class. No reason to change when you have the best controls already. Don

Awesome job! You have truly inspired me! I have a 1976 American spec 300D and I am just starting to restore it. The car has been in my family since it was new. My uncle ordered it for his company and it was picked up in Brussels as part of the European delivery program. Every single recommended maintenance was performed by a Mercedes dealer since 1976 and the car still runs great. Unfortunately road salt has taken its toll and there is a great deal of rust in the underbody. I often feel like the rust can't be beaten but you have proved that it can! Keep up the good work!
