Opinions Wanted

I have some interest in pursuing this car, as it's the first Ponton in decent shape that's close to me. I wanted to run it by the forum to get some perspective from others in the know.

Please take a look and let me know what you see, your opinions, estimated value, etc.

Thanks

Tough to say without seeing in person, no idea of true amount of bodywork, etc. The seats do look like the frame is from a newer car, and the surface is a nasty naugahyde type material on the seats and door cards. I see lots of damage from mice, so that could be scary. I know it says it runs and drives but does the owner drive it and how often, when last, etc.? Looks like somebody already serviced the tank screen, I see some material scraped away there, so that's a potentially good sign that the fuel system was cleaned and filters checked/cleaned/replaced. Seems a poor quality repaint from the pics, likely done without removing much trim, a mask n' splash deal. It may also be an illusion but in at least one pic the wheel looks off center in the wheel house on the front passenger side, tho it looks less so in other views. Of course that could indicate a prior accident. I have a buddy in this area of Indiana but he doesn't know anything about vintage cars, you really need eyes on this thing unless you get it for a screaming deal and wish to take the risk.

Definitely has potential. I would be most concerned about what's under the thick undercoating.

Don't think that's a factory color.
