Can anyone recommend Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer?

I am looking for an oil additive to use on my 1972 M130 engine, mostly to help with the dry starts. A friend of mine swears by Lucas products, I went to their site and they
offer a "Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer" which is a pure petroleum multi-use oil supplement. Check out the link below.

Any comments and suggestions on using this are greatly appreciated.

I'm wondering that myself. I see the stuff advertised at the local CarQuest...

Snake oil, all of it.

Put a good quality synthetic in the engine and you'll be fine. No need for additives - they're a waste of money.

One of the best options for vintage cars is Diesel engine oil from Shell or Chevron .

These oils contain the additive ZDDP required to control scuffing and wear in Diesel engines and equally required for old metallurgy engines including air cooled VW beetle engines.
Loads of information from oil companies and articles ,the best and concise one in a corvette forum.
