123 Bosch Yellow Fog lamp Source

Thanks for all the great info on this site.

Does anyone know where to get the regular yellow fog lamp replacements for a 79 240D? I have searched this forum and google and ebay and no luck. Lots of discussion of replacing the existing lamps but not much on getting new bulbs for existing system.

They are NLA everywhere.......some people have painted their faded lamps with stain glass paint....but your year car originally came with clear fogs.....why do you want yellow?

Not sure if these will be compatible, but I have a 1990 Lexus LS400 which fog lights look white when off, but glow yellow when I turn them on, so i think the bulbs are yellow.

I've never pulled them out, so I don't know what they look like.

These are used, but look OK, especially for a whopping $40 for the pair.

On my car, the yellow has faded to clear. I like the extra light they give at night, but often get the brights from passing cars as they think I have my brights on. I read somewhere that Mercedes went to yellow in 1980 so the lights can be distinguised from the main headlights. Don't know if it is true or not.
