115 or w115 is the body type. 240d is the model approximately a 2.4 liter displacement diesel engine.

Alright, thanks a lot.

So just as a confirmation on what to do, when I do get the car I have to replace the battery, check for corrosion in the belts, hoses, and fan, wash the carpet, change out the fluids, and change out the filters. Anything else I should check for, since this car hasn't been ran in a few years?

Sounds like a cat or mice got in and peed. I would remove carpet and seats. Then use a dilute solution of hydrogen peroxide sprayed all over the bare interior as well as removed parts. Scrub the thing well. Spray again when dry. Air out the car and use a cleaning agent on the seats as well as carpet. You can wash the carpet in the machine. If you can give them a few good days out in the sun, the UV will help.

If that does not deal with the smell, you might need to rent an ozone generator.

Fluids and filters are a great start. Look for dry rot on all rubber hoses and bits. Run a can of Lubro Moly Diesel Purge when you get the motor running. That will help clean up coking in fuel passages. Then take the thing on a long hard drive for a well needed Italian Tune up.
