Avoid the model years 78-80/81. They have the dreaded Chrysler ACC servo system. Very expensive to fix, and if it fails, you have no climate control.
These model years are non-turbo as well, meaning that you would get a 79 HP diesel. If you're not in a hurry, that's fine, but they are really, really slow as far as acceleration.
Go with an 81 or later. Systems are more reliable and the turbocharged 617 engine is far better.
Inspect the rocker panels around the jack points. These are the weak spot when it comes to rust, and if they're rusty, there is far more that you can't see. It's a matter of structural integrity, so if these areas are rusty the car is questionable at best. Very expensive to repair, and one of those things that once it's opened up, you usually find more than you expected.
