1973 450SL Advice Please

I just looked at a 450SL today (possible purchase) and would like some advice on possible reasons why it would run rough.

Starts fine, doesn't idle well until the brake is pushed. I am guessing that it has something to do with the brake vacuum boost. Does it make sense that pushing the brake pedal would isolate a vacuum leak from the vacuum boost?

There's a forum just for 107-chassis roadsters. All the information you could ever want is there.

With that said, that does indeed sound like a leaky brake booster. I've fixed a rough idle on a truck that had no power brake assist that way.
