73 Fuel Filter location??

I have a 73 280 and cannot locate the fuel filter??

Driver side, rear. It's a big sucker, right next to the pump.

I don't think you'll find it there for a couple of reasons:

1. IF it were in the rear, it would have been passenger side rear, not driver side.

2. If you're talking about a W114 280, carb and all, the filter (as well as the pump) are nowhere near the rear.

OK, which 280 do you have? Mine's a 280SE 4.5 and the fuel filter is in the rear, next to the fuel pump, driver's side.

If you have the m130 engine than it is on the driver side on the engine bay close to the fuel pump and the power steering pump

You can see it here on the right lower of the picture
