Things to Use a Mercedes For

My 108 is the biggest car I have, and given that the trunk is big enough to bury Jimmy Hoffa in, I use it like a truck sometimes

The first two are from when I hauled a bunch of mulch (I made four trips like this), and the last is the most recent. The first two make my car look like a low rider!

I'm restoring a Fiat 850 Spyder, and this is the engine (last pic). It's JUST about big enough to run my niece's sewing machine

I bought lawn mower and when the guy brought it out from Lowes was surprised to see the car I came with.
He said no way to fit in that car but the w114 trunk swallowed the whole thing.
And yes I have used it for mulch.
I use it for every day activities

I read an interview with a designer who worked with MB in the 1960s. There was one very important requirement when a new MB was designed: several beer crates had to fit easily into the trunk.

I can not only confirm this as accurate but we sometimes jokingly refer to the coupe as "the pickup" because of that cavernous trunk, it's almost like a covered deck El Camino. With no carpet making it super easy to clean out, it's just begging to be used to haul everyday stuff.
