What is this?

Hi
I removed the spare tire and I would like to find out what is this long tube for
It has a plug at the end and on the other hand connects to something that can be rotated with a wrench
It might be connecting to the sunroof motor

What is this?-imageuploadedbyag-free1374283058.400462.jpg

A long empty tube with a cap at the end?
What does it do?
Does it need grease or something

It is where the cable feeds as the roof is opened. The nut is the manual over ride. I imagine if you look around you will find the socket stuck inside a holder. The socket end fits into the lug wrench.

It appears the special socket is still in its retaining clip. Look directly above the exposed nut.
