How much do you know about CocoMats?

I just wrote an article about the company behind CocoMats and thought I'd share. I wanted to share this article specifically since there are a few products out there that we all know and are considered almost traditional to have in our cars, but don't really know the story behind them, so I hope you will enjoy this little insight.

Fantastic info.

I just had someone ask me about the coco mats in my car the other day.
From now on I will just point them to this explanation.

I'm glad they improved upon the old pre 1990 coco mats. I had them and disliked them because they didn't hold up well . Now that they've been improved, I may order a set. Thanks for posting this info....

Cool story

I saw a review on a Youtube post that just raved about the quality of the mats form Cocomats.com but when I ordered mine I went with a different company (Autosports) that was about $75 cheaper for the set of 4. They get there product from a vender I'am not sure where they are made.

I got my mats today mats and they did not come close to fitting too wide too long and did not fit around the pedels. Called the company and they told me I could trace where I wanted them to trim and they would recut the mat. I passed and just returned them and ordered a set form Cocomats.com.

Cocomats are great!

I enjoyed reading the article about Cocomats. My 1975 240D came with Cocomats as an option when my father purchased the car new from the Mercedes dealership. I have a set of Cocomats for my 1981 240D, which I ordered directly from the Cocomats website. They look great and enhance the car's interior appearance. In December, I attended a Mercedes Benz Club of America function in Orlando where members displayed their cars. Every member who viewed my car commented about the quality and feel of my Cocomats. They are expensive but will last over the imitations out there.

We just got our Sisal mats also, and will be getting some pics for an update article that I will post here once it's finished. We went for red with red vinyl edging and they were fitted with a lovely deep maroon heel pad. We were originally going to get a new carpet set, but with these in place all we really need to do is dye the old ones at the sill and trans tunnel since that's all that's visible with the mats in place. We just saved $500 + install by not needing carpets now, and are very happy about that. The sisal are a much finer fiber in terms of size so it has an even more refined effect than the standard coco so you can choose a more authentic retro look with the coco or create a cleaner more modern look with the sisal.

What color did you get Geen? Would love to see pics of your interior as well.
