Motor mount Hex bolt

This weekend was the first day working on the Project. The plan was to replace motor mounts and replace spark plug wires and restore the spark plug wire management system.

Well what happened 1 motor mount was relatively easy, swapped it out after having to go buy HEX socket set, only bolts in the car that seem to be HEX are the ones that are used to attache the motor mounts to the chassis.

Now when we got to the second one, that's where the fun started. One bolt came out fine. But the second one either I rounded out or was already rounded out. After 2 hours our so playing with it since we didn’t have a bolt removal kit and would be almost impossible to use where this bolt is we were somehow able to get it out

Anyone know where one can get a motor mount hex bolt? anyone have one extra laying around.

Try your local ACE Hardware. Use the hardened bolts.

just put a regular head bolt , any part store has them , dont worry about hardness there , its not going anywhere . also local junk yard . 13mm head 8mm coarse tread .you could temporarely steal one somewhere else in the car .

I was going to make it look authentic, but that would just end up being to much hassle. Going to head out to ACE/ TrueValue to get 4 of them. Thanks for the details guys. I'll have pictures of the old mounts soon.. they were pretty dame crappy. Now to get this car fixed and more road ready for the.
