Knocking rear end w109 300sel

Hi guys, just bought this baby and it has an annoying knock at the rear suspension over bumps.
On closer inspection it looks like the sway link rods and bushes have just been changed. Could someone tell me how long the link rods should be. The look too short and I think I can see where the swaybar has been touching the underside of the car. Any specs out there?

look in trunk at the square mount at middle / end .remove the black plastic cover , and see if there is a gap bettw the large washer at top and rest of mount .if washer / plate rest on mount , replace mount .also the brakes are a odd ball design due to air suspension , they are floating on large plastic bushings .there is a grease fitting there .

I've checked the diff mount to the body and all looks square and ok.
I still think someone has used the incorrect link rod set. Could someone with an air suspension rear end measure the linkrod shaft or from the bottom of the top set of bushes to the top of the bottom set of bushes. Atleast that'll give me an indication.

cheers
