Mercedes w123 300d bleeding?

Heyy guys,
So i purchased a mercedes 300d yesterday from a dealer (not a fan of them), and i drove it for about an hour home yesterday, left it sitting tried to start it and it wouldnt start. turns out because there was no fuel in the tank. even though the fuel gage reads 2/3 of a tank full.

i have tried bleeding it at the thing where the fuel line runs from the fuel pump into it, then at the injectors. fuel flowing through all of them still wont start, battery is currently charging but what should i do next? can i try bleeding them where the hard injector lines run into the rocker cover or shouldnt i? i have no previous experience with diesel engines please help!! im in melb, aus if anyone knows somwhere i could take it too

Oh wow what a rare car, a 1976 w123 300d. That is the first year of production, I would love to see photos!

I would suggest posting in the w123 section for better help.

You probably have a lot of issues needing to be addressed. When you bleed the system, cracked the lines st the injectors, and turn over the car...are you getting fuel? Out of each one? And what type of primer pump is on the car? The old white twist and pump or the new black push and pump? I would imagine you have a air leak or the tank screen is plugged probably need new fuel filters to.
