it's easy to take a Rochester 4-barrel, drill an extra pair of mounting holes about 1/4" away from the originals and then bolt it in place using the stock Bakelite base plate. The creative part is reworking the throttle. A small tidbit from a mid-80s diesel will fix that.
BTW, you'll find a suitable 6 cylinder 4-barrel carb on ebay for like 80$; or at least, it was there last night.
