1972 280se starts then does in 1 second
This '72 280se was having fuel pump issues, and that's where we started to get it working again, but now the car will start and run for only about a second before dying. I have found and replaced a couple burnt fuses, tested relays, cleaned spark plugs, and replaced a rotor that appeared to have a small crack in it. None if these things changed the way it is running. The engine will continue to run if you spray fuel into the air intake. The car will start every time that you turn the key, but it dies after running for the same one second. Has anyone run into this problem? Recommendations?
