Wanted - W111 coupe bumper irons

Hi all,
Somebody replaced the rear bumper on my coupe with one from a W108. I can get new stainless steel bumpers from Vietnam, however they do not come with the steel mounting brackets to mount the bumper to the car. Does anyone have a set of these they would liek to sell, or have any leads that I could try?
Thanks,
Drew

I'm a little concerned about your comments. Is there something in particular about the bumpers from Vietnam?

Tony, I have had a set on my sedan for close to a year now and they are holding up fine. I don't wash the car with steel wool so I don't know why they would get scratched any more than any other part of the car. Paint scratches easily too, but I don't hear people bagging someone painting their car.
You could look at the positives of stainless bumpers - if you dent them a little, you can tap them out and repolish - no need for a trip to the chrome shop.

So, does anyone have some leads on bumper irons? I have emailed a couple of people in the states but no firm replies yet.

Thanks,
Drew

Oh Keith you tease! I would be absolutely interested in that IF shipping to Australia was not so costly. I have a 220SE shell needing a drivetrain as well as the bumper irons...
If for some reason you or the new owner end up parting it out, please let me know about the bumper irons.
Cheers, Drew

Yea I would never do anything more than wipe them with a microfiber or very soft 100% cotton towel. I'm sure they can be easily polished if the surface gets dull-it's done all the time. You can't polish worn out chrome but stainless goes all the way through. Plus the depth of shine looks deeper than chrome. I can't wait to get mine on the car. I bought the early coupe ones without the rubber strip thinking I would add the strip but they look so good without the clunky strip that I am going to use them without it.
