Regarding your brakes, unfortunately it is prob bad new. The calipers seize when old and have had moisture in the brake fluid. I dont know your car in particular, but you may not find rebuild caliper and have to buy new as I just did. They are @ >$250 each.
If you take the caliper inspection cover off and try to push the pad/cylinder back in (I use a big screw driver for leverage) if you cannot push it in, the cyl is seized.
While you are in there, new pads and check if rotors. These can be turned down if rough.
That is good new about the front suspension. Change your diff oil, very easy. Is that the drain plug leaking or the oil pan? The oil pan drain bolt prob just needs a new copper washer.
rear spring "helper" is standard equipment. I'm talking about the horizontal coil on top of the rear axle. do you have something different?
