resistors 280se 1974

Hi
This is part of a previous thread but has a life of its own.
RIGHT I fixed a fuel problem but was having trouble with flooding before the car would start. I have bridged the ceramic resistors to give maximum feed to the coil. and am up and running. What does this show is wrong?? what is the problems i may have if i leave the bridge on ??
Cheers Bryan

without a ballast resistor the coil will overheat and burn out .if engine runs in that condition only then coil is defective .
Best would be a Pertronix coil and ignitor and do away with the old ignition and end ignition related issues.

You can also run a wire from the small ternimal on the starter to the + side of the coil. That way the coil will get full voltage only when you are cranking the starter.
