1981 500SL Value of this Vehicle????

Hi everyone. I am posting this in the hopes that someone out here who has knowledge of older Mercedes Benz's can provide me with some information.

I picked this car up at a local Dealer Auction and I am trying to figure out the value of the vehicle. The badging says 500SL and the title says 1981 Mercedes 500SL. Prob is it does not have a V8 engine (has a straight 6) and the body styling is not the same as the other 81 500SLs that I have seen before. The mileage is 115K.

The body is in good shape no rust. the paint will need to be buffed out or reapainted.

The vin number is WDBEA32E6RC074630

Any Idea on the value of this vehicle????

Thanks so much in advance

If you look at the VIN on the last picture you posted, the plate says it's a 107.042 - a 280SL. The correct VIN is on that plate. The one you have listed is from an entirely different car, a 1994 E320 sedan.

Run, do not walk, over to the R107 forum. They can tell you everything you need to know.
