original distributor was changed, car doesn't start when warm
I never had pbs with my distributor before car repair shop changed it for a used cheap one. My 450SL 1980 always started great, when shop put in a used one the car never started when warm. If I start in the AM it's ok, shut it off and try restarting, it won't, unless I do many attempts.
If I drive the car 1 mile, shut it off and restart 15 mns later same pb occurs, won't start after many (5 to 8) attempts. If hot out, car won't start ar all.
I read on this forum it might be the full accumulator.
My question is why would my car not start when warm after having my distributor changed? Would the full accumulator go bad just because of the change of distributor?
I still have the original which I reclaimed when they changed it, the repair shop was pissed at me wanting my part back....
Any advises would be greatly appreciated.
