1975 W114, 280C windshield gasket

G'day to all,

I am having a difficult time locating a source for a replacement windshield gasket for my 1975 280C. I know it is not the same gasket or windishield as that used on the sedans of that year or 'normal' W114 series. I have googled this part under several different listing headings, to no avail. MB is no help as all they do is cram you with advertizing and useless side trips when you enter their web site. Any suggestions as to possible sources would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Dealer-only.

I think Adsit has them. I bought one for mine a few years back and I think it was from there

There you go. $198 at Adsit, $167 from the dealer. Like I said, it's a dealer-only item, which fell off the aftermarket years ago. Same with W123C.

windshield gasket source

Thanks to all who responded, I really appreciate it. I opted to order the gasket/seal from the dealer, who is quite a distance away from where I live. After reading several comments about poor quality and fit from other seal makers, I thought it would be better to buy the factory part, even at the over-inflated dealer price. I only want to do this job once -- actually I'm paying a professional to do the job -- and this way minimize the possibility of water leaks due to a seal that doesn't fit right.

Thanks again!
