Roundie Horn repair

Could someone tell me how to take apart a 1957 220 steering wheel centre in order to repair the horn.
Asking on behalf of a friend.

On the rear of the steering wheel there should be an access hole. Insert a rod through that hole to push off the horn cover. From there it ought to be clear what's next. Suggest your friend join our ponton group. Go to Mercedes-Benz Pontons (1953-1962) © and look for a link to our mailing list, IPOG.

Thanks for the comment.

The IPOG Enrollment Process

01) Go here:
02) Click "Join This Group"
03) Most important: Reply to the automated email that requests your name, location, and cars (of interest).
04) When the moderator gets that reply, the membership will be approved within a few hours.

01) If the person does not check their Yahoo mail, or has it configured incorrectly, it can cause a loss of communication, and the request will be denied within a couple of days. The moderator will provide as much help as possible.

02) Simply including words like, "hi", or "I love Mercedes" in the initial form is NOT the same as replying to the automated email. This simple vetting process has worked almost flawlessly since 2000.

See you there!
