w115 tail lamp diagram help

on my w115 the drivers side left rear parking lamp is not working. when i tested the socket the power and ground are ok. when you twist the bulb in the socket switches from ground to power and the bulb is inop. i plugged the right side lamp in with the same result. any ideas? ps i switched bulbs too.

Take it apart and see if the board has any cracks causing to loose connection, there is nothing else.

Sometimes the simple solutions can solve a major headache. I had one backup light that kept going out, I'd replace bulbs, clean the base, but nothing worked and all it took to resolve it was to add a little bulb grease to the base. You can buy it in small packets from auto parts stores and those will last you a long time since you only use very little. It's worth a try.

just the fact that i have tried 2 boards with the same result is making me think its a wire issue when a load is applied. ill try grease on the bulb and on the plug in the trunk.
