W108 Seatbelt Question

I was wondering if there is any seatbelt upgrades for the W108 ('67 250s) that changes the seatbelts from being strictly a lap belt to having a shoulder restraint belt as well, as is typical in modern cars? I did a search on the forum but I didn't find anything.

Hey guys sorry to dig up a old thread, however I am looking on the german site and I cannot seem to find the seatbelt directly for the W108. (1971 280sel) does anyone know where I could find a newer retracting seatbelt for the front (and possibly even back) seats.

(=do I need to remove the front seats to access the bolts?)

VERY easy. I did both mine in the space of a half hour. It's a metter of unbolting the old ones and bolting in the new ones. All bolts are accessible from inside the car, without using universals or being a contortionist.

For both the female and male portions of the belts, put the seats as far forward as you can and it's all there.
