Mercedes 200 carburator problem

I owne a 1971, 200 ( european W115 with M115 engine ) Il is equipped with one Stromberg 175 carb. First start in the morning when cold, it strarts fine but without fast idle. I need to keep my foot on the pedal and have it warm up for 10 to 15 minutes before moving. If it is not at normal operating temperature and stalls, it is almost impossible to re-start. I purchased a carburator rebuilding kit and had it overhauled. Unfortunatly, the choke diaphragm was a little bigger ( from W123 ) and could not be changed. My problem remains. If I stop for 5 minutes, impossible to re-start. I have to wait it gets cold. Sometimes, it would start if I crank it for long time with gaz pedal to the floor. It would then start on one or two cylinders and I need to keep the accelerator the floor for several minutes before it runs correctly.
Any clue ?

Does it have a semi-automatic choke, which must be actuated by pressing the accelerator pedal fully before starting?

choke problem

Thanks for those answers. I looked at John Twists videos on Stromberg carb rebuilding. Interesting but carbs for MGB's look a lot different. Now I am trying to find a supplier with the proper carb rebuilding kit ( choke diaphragm the right size ) and I think i'll have to strart it over. If somebody have a shop manual for the carb, it would be of great help.
By the way, I don't know if it is a semi or automatic choke but I tried every way to have it strart.
