but the more air you get in a diesel the better it runs?
doesnt a turbocharged diesel generally have a better mpg than a N/A?
a gasoline car limits the air, while a diesel only goes better with more, and burns the diesel more efficent?
and, if you get more air in it means you can inject more diesel without more smoke, and thus gaining power without overheating the engine.
black smog from a diesel = not enough air and exhaust gas temperature that is rising, damaging the valves and pistons.
the om606 300tdt from the w210 chassi produces stock 185bhp.
with a modified pump, and a big ass turbo, it produces 600bhp.
3.5bar of boost (4.5bars depending on how you measure it)
and it pukes black smoke until the turbo spools up and the exhaust is almost "clean", there is truly turbolagg..
full trottle, accelerating ok everything behind is black, accelerating bit better 0.3bars boost, cars behind hits breaks cause they cant see, reaches about 55mph in fourth gear, the boost hits 3.5 bar almost instantly, hell breaks loose, booth wheels spinns, welded diff and 225/45r18 tires.
I might be wrong, but what i have learned, more air, is never, ever bad for a diesel, unless you give it more boost than it can handle.
