Dies only on an incline when its my turn to go.

Ok, so im getting closer on getting this thing running decent. The problem that I am having now is when I come to a complete stop (only on an incline) the car idles great with no signs of fuel starvation or misfires, but when its my turn to go, as soon as the accelerator pedal goes in about an inch the car dies out. This seems to be happening at every stopped incline. So I restart the car, (it fires up immediatley) and I have to rev the engine up a bit and hold it there, then throw it into gear and after an embarassing lunge forward, I'm on my way again. Any thoughts on this?
