That is providing the engine isn't too wide to begin with.

I envy you working on a project like this. I think it would be so cool to modernize an older Benz like that. But I already have too many vehicle projects. I've got 2 PT Cruisers that I need to mess with (one wrecked is going to be an organ donor for one with a puked engine), a 67 Dart GT that I need to finish the engine for, and my 69 GTX that I haven't done squat to for years needs some forward progress this year. Plus I've still got some issues with my S600 Coupe that need to be addressed.

There are lots of motor choices, I'm leaning towards something I can get easily as well. BMW motors around here in running order for a good price are hard to find. They usually come attached to a car that's too nice to tear apart too.

I was born and raised in Bavaria!! Arguably, BMW is much closer to home than MB is. But they're both in southern provinces, which is what really matters

Well, I'd argue Bavaria is better than Baden-Württemberg because we have all the cool resorts, the true Austro-German culture, Oktoberfest... list goes on! Sure beats the hell out of Hessen though

Uh, ok... I see you have 3 cities listed in your sig. San Antonio, Pensacola and Neustadt, Deutschland. So I suppose I should ask where you are building the car at. I'd think that with all of them around it shouldn't be too hard to find a BMW six. Pretty much they've used that engine for decades.

Not sure how much it's changed over the years. Once upon a time I had a 1972 Bavaria. Nice car. Needed more power though. But then don't they all.

I'm mainly in San Antonio, which is where the car is. Unfortunately, there's not a lot to find around here. I got lucky just finding my W126, haha.

Well, you have to make a necessary upgrade of brakes and suspension to suit the drive line so, you may as well go the hotrod route

My Mercedes is driving me around the benz..
