Has anyone been to there? Is it a good place to visit if you are not buying anything and just want to check out the cars? Are you allowed to walk around in the showroom unescorted like you would in a museum without getting hassled by a salesman? Thanks!
The front half of the classic center looks sort of like a car showroom with cars for sale, etc. friendly staff, etc. Then behind some giant doors are about 28 cars stacked two high in a room. Those are nice cars, some owned by the Classic Centre and some by customers. Then behind that room you get into paint and workshop space, where there are lots more cars and parts being worked on. Unless you go on a tour, which I recommend, you won't make back there. You _might_ be able to go into the room with the giant doors - sometimes they are open, sometimes closed. Just ask at reception if it is OK to walk around in there.
I belong to two car clubs that have had tours at the Classic Centre - it is by far the best way to see the place.
