Oil leak or leaks in front of engine

I have oil Leaking around the water pump. How many possible places could be leaking at the front of the
engine ? The engine has a lot of miles, and I expect these kind of
problems. I am just trying to keep it
going until I can afford to replace or rebuild it. Any suggestions would
more than welcome. Peace:O

Which car? Normally is the crankshaft from seal, it´s not that difficult to change if you have the proper tools.

Your water pump may have two bolts on the body between the pulley and the mount. These bolts are for filling, on top, and the amount, on the side.

If this is not the case, the oil leak might be coming from the front of the engine, there is a plate bolted to the top right of the block. Spray some cleaner on the area around the oil leak to determine the location. Pictures would also be helpful.

The front seal may also be suspect as mentioned before.

Not part of the in-crowd since 1952. It's BRAKES not breaks. You break a bone, use brakes to stop your car. /rant
