w108 door opening trim (windlass?)

I need to replace the cloth wrapped, soft metal, u-shaped trim that goes around the door opening, holding the headliner on. It seems to be called windlass from all the info I can get so far. Does anyone know where I can get replacement material?
Thanks,
Jay

Try a local body shop. Mine was frayed and frazzled when I bought my car, so I replaced it locally. It was about $1 a foot, back in 2005

I found some similar on the Restoration Specialties website and catalog and that's what they called it.
Restoration Specialties & Supply, Inc. | Windber, PA 15963
I'm considering stripping off the cloth and rubber and just using the metal. It might look ok.

Close. Windlace, or windlace trim.

Order a windlass and it is anchors-a-weigh...

Windlace: Google results for "Windlace"
