I think the bigger question is would it fit? The hole in the tank, the travel distance of the float and the electrical connector.
On my 1973 220D it's just a tube with a wire going from the top to the bottom, across and up the other side. The float has little metal fingers that short this wire so float at the top very little resistance and float at the bottom maximum resistance. With two connectors at the bottom that trigger the reserve light when the float touches it. Yours is probably similar if not identical.
So there's nothing unique about it. But I did just replace mine about a year ago. I had to check a few places but I found a new one cheap-ish. By that I mean under $50 maybe 25.
