1974 280C German edition EFI high idle
I have a 74 280C german edition with a few issues. The closer I get to correct timing I have a high idle. I am also running a bit rich. With some testing I am thinking I have a bad MPS. I am also certain after some checking that my ignition control module is bad. I think the balast resistors are good according to the OHM meter but I am not sure and someone has things bypassed somehow. I do know that what they had done is not even close to what the wiring diagram suggests. Is it worth replacing the ignition control box on the fender along with the MPS? Are there other options to use aftermarket parts to alleviate the need for these parts? Any siggestions or help would be appreciated.
