OK, so it's for a W123 but it's still a VDO ODO.

Thanks for the links!

My w123 odo started clicking. I disconnected it as it sounded like a ticking bomb and drove me crazy! I have the dash out and apart - unfortunately looks like the plastic worm gear is worn. Source for that???

So the concensus is if the odo and trip odo aren't working it's one of these two fixes? Either the big gear or a slipping little gear?
