540K, Not sure where you are located, but Horseless Carriage out of new Jersey is more than capable of handling such a move end to end especially if shipping into a NY or NJ port. Sold a Packard earlier this year and it cost my Swiss buyer around $4,000 door to door from New England (CT actually) to Switzerland. The only break he got was that the broker took the car from CT to NNJ; around 3 hours from my house and did not add that to his cost. Our first overseas sale but my guy tells me he uses them a lot and is happy with them. Bear in mind that fuel costs are up and even domestic transport costs have been rising.
I do understand that, depending on the size of your car, you may be able to save a bit by sharing containers. I am not sure but understand that their are two sizes, my guy was trying to put a deal together with the buyer to take another Packard he owned, and ship both cars in one container to save some money. Large container must be pretty big to accomodate two good size prewar cars.
