That's a very cool project. Finally something really interesting to look at on this forum!
If that carb is an Edelbrock AFB clone or an AFB they are very easy to rejet. Auto parts stores like OReilley can order jets, metering rods and step up pistons from Edelbrock.
I have one question. Why did you use pistons with 4 eyebrows? To get a 9.0:1 compression ratio with 70cc combustion chamber Edelbrock heads I used those same pistons with 2 eyebrows in a .020 oversize sbc 350 that powers my street rod. BTW, those Edelbrock heads came with very nicely finished ports and combustion chambers and the bowls are beautifully smoothed up.
When I built my sbc and priced Vortec heads modified to eliminate coil bind, Iron heads with a "valve job" creating all new wear surfaces and new springs and new heads the new heads (Edelbrock "Performer RPM") were irresistable)
Thanks for posting something for us street rod builders!
