The taillight mods weren't badly executed, but why!! the originals are much better looking

Seems to me the money spent modifying the taillights could have been put to much better use on the interior. Teak plywood door panels? And how about that driver seat?

At least the dash hasn't been hacked for a big radio.... hate the tail lights.

I agree. Credit is due for the work done but why modify a classic design in this way?

I personally don't really like the factory tail lights (they are too small and squinty looking) but I don't think those ones are an improvement...
I reckon some from a 600 may work - a bit bigger to break up the flat rear end a bit... Anyone have a spare set lying around?!
