250SE coolant hose

I'm getting ready to replace all of the coolant hoses. I need help finding this short hose below the thermostat that connects to a pipe running to the heater core. One end appears to be 18mm, the other maybe 22mm, Can't measure it until I take it off. In the attached pic, it's the short hose on the left (rear).

Thanks,
Klaus

Can you measure the outside diameter of each side (of the metal part not the hose) with a caliper to be sure it's not a trick of the eye first? Then you can use off-the-shelf hose for such a small section.

Check thermostat

Suggestion, change the thermostat while replacing the hoses.
How is the water pump? Inspect carefully from underneath looking for any signs of coolant leak.
I used Mercedes Benz hoses for the upper, lower and thermostat hoses.
I also used silicone heater hoses for the smaller 5/8 and 3/4 inch hoses.

The pump is starting to make noise so I was going to replace that. You're right, might as well do the thermostat while I'm at it.

I can't get my caliper in there to get an exact reading until I take the hose off. But it's 18mm going to the heater, the end by the block is around 22mm.

I guess I can try the dealer. Haven't had much luck with them. Not a lot of old mercs in the area, so they don't stock much,

It's a specially molded curved hose. They are available at the dealer and through the Classic Center.
