107 rubber trunk mat

I would like to replace the grey rubber trunk mat in my 1972 450SL. I have looked in various floor mat sites and cannot find one. One site asked for a part number, but my chassis manual does not show a part number. Any advice on the mat or the part number is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

107 rubber trunk mat

Thanks for the reply. It appears the rubber mat is no longer available from any source, and only a carpeted version is available. Now I'm trying to determine if the carpeted version has the moulded hump for the spare tire.

Hi again, I havent got to this for mine yet, but have been looking on the interneticalweb.
It seems from this, PARTSCATALOG.RU , that part number 1076800546 at item 83 in the picture looks like it is moulded.
On the other hand the carpet sets on ebay look like they are just flat carpet that has been binded at the edges.
Maybe someone who has been down this path can tell us?

107 trunk mat

Interesting! The diagram does appear to be moulded. If so, I could go with carpet instead of rubber.....as long as it fits. Thanks for thr reference. If you decide to order, please let me know results.

You might want to wander over to te 107 forum here: R/C107 SL/SLC Class - Benzworld.org - Mercedes-Benz Discussion Forum .

It's very active, with a lot of people all over the world. You might find someone 'just around the corner'.

The forum is devoted to the 107, so there is a LOT of info available. There is a pair of sticky topics at the top of the forum that serve as sort of a "library" that can provide info on a wide variety of subjects related to this car. You'll be getting access to the 'mother lode' of crazies dedicated to the 107, so beware.
