Look up the original tyre size for your car and then compare the overall diameter of your options using one of the various tyre size calculators available on the net.
I googled "original tire size Mercedes 250se" and a great page came up first with all alternative tyres on there.
Original - 195 H14 with a diameter of 675mm/26.6". So 205/75R14 is a good match. I have always run 205/70R14 or 195/75R14 though myself. 3% difference in diameter (smaller).

That is really a beautiful car. I never imagined I would like the wide whites so much.

One thing that I noticed when I saw a 111/108 with bigger overall diameter tyres was that the front of the tyre gets very close to the back edge of the front bumper, at the front of the wheel opening. It looks to me like the tyre is then too far forward, and not centred in the wheel opening. But I am pretty pedantic with some things.
Cheers, Drew
