Engine out of car - what to replace? Subframe mounts + ????

I have a 1967 250 S that has no engine/trans. I'm going to be installing the engine/trans from a 1968 280 S. Since the 250 S has nothing in the engine compartment right now, I think it's a good time to replace things that are easy to get to. Here is what I can think of - I would like other suggestions:

1. Subframe mounts
2. Motor mounts
3. Trans mount

What else? Also, I looked for the subframe mounts in the Big Blue Book and didn't find it... I'm looking the wrong place - where is it?

I found a nice writeup here:
PeachPartsWiki: DIY 108 Chassis Sub-frame Mounts
thanks
Scott

Yes, you need to replace those parts. Check the steering linkage including the idler arm. Get a rebuild kit and make sure you grease it after it's repaired.

Grease all the suspension joints and you may have to use a heat gun to heat the joint to get the grease to flow.

Check the inner control arm mounts to make sure the rubber seals are OK. If not, wait until you install the engine. You need to engine weight to help take the lower control arm off and get it back on.

Get a new flex disc too. There is a grease joint at the front of the driveshaft.

Not part of the in-crowd since 1952. It's BRAKES not breaks. You break a bone, use brakes to stop your car. /rant

On the engine itself, remove the exhaust manifold and replace the seal. MUCH easier with the thing out! I'd also look at replacing the water pump (or inspecting it) and pressure testing the radiator.
