Question Need help on W186 Chassis number

I have a 300 Cabriolet d Year 1952 and would like ask fellow members that have similar model or knowledge about chassis number for this car. My question is, on my car's chassis number the set of number starts with the letter R then follows by 1860140273052 Is this unusual? Because cars in this period normally just have the numeric. By the way my car is in Thailand and the steering wheel is on the right.

Maybe it was assembled, from a kit, ie KD, is another country. MB did that in high import tax countries. I don't know for sure but I have some links that I'll post later.

Not part of the in-crowd since 1952. It's BRAKES not breaks. You break a bone, use brakes to stop your car. /rant

Many thanks for your reply. The car was imported to Thailand in 1952 and was fully assembled from Germany as we start to assemble CKD from 1978.
