W109 height setting?

Hi!

Finally installed good air valves on my 72 300sel 4.5 W109. I can't find the specs for the height adjustment, can anyone provide the correct spec, or perhaps measure their air-suspended 109 car front and rear height while in drive position?

Thanks a million, guys!

As long as the axles are horizontal, it will be fine. Do not make the adjustment at the rear when the car is on the ground. Take it to an alignment shop and then adjust it.

How are your rear sway bar bushings? Have you greased the brake bushings? Have you drained the air tank? Are you using denatured alcohol in the air suspension inlet cup (the proper name escapes me at the moment)?

The International M-100 Group can answer all your air suspension needs.

Not part of the in-crowd since 1952. It's BRAKES not breaks. You break a bone, use brakes to stop your car. /rant

Thanks for the reply. Suspension bushings are good. Did a full LOF. blew out air tank, alcohol in atomizer reservoir. So far it has stayed up for 72 hours without dropping at all.

I don't understand your note to not adjust height while on ground and to use an alignment rack.. should I adjust height on stands with suspension unloaded?

I thought the procedure was to adjust the height airvalve via the airvalve rod ball ends and swaybar bracket so the car sits at a certain height, it's that ride height spec I need. Anyhow, I now have the car sitting at about 26.5" level ground to beltline trim at rear wheel center, 26.25" at front. seems to be a good stance and looks 'right'. Going for a ride tomorrow to see how it handles.

Thanks !
