1976 300D, spring removal

i wanted the the rear springs removed because i wanted to place rubber rings on top..the back portion of my car is too lowered even if no passengers at the back...i dont have the special tools to do the job...is there any way to have it removed other than using the specialized tools? thanks a lot

If you are lucky, you can remove the spring if you unscrew the shock absorber, but probably you will need a good spring compressor.

Disregard this, you will kill yourself.

Use a proper spring compressor, they are available for rent either here or on Peachparts.

Not part of the in-crowd since 1952. It's BRAKES not breaks. You break a bone, use brakes to stop your car. /rant
