Question need help on 200d engine rebuild

I have a 1968 200d . I have bought a service manuel for this car but the manuel doesn't contain vital info on the piston and cylinder info. I need to know ring gap and maximum wear on cylinder to piston gap. Please help me put my car back on the road. Does anyone know where to find this info. Should I call dealer? I heard they dont like to give out technical info.

MB sells a Technical Data manual for the passenger cars of our era. It's has all the data you need. BTW, there is a formula for ring gap common to all engines. It escapes me at the moment.

The order number is S-2358-000

Which service manual do you have? The BBB or the CD's?

Not part of the in-crowd since 1952. It's BRAKES not breaks. You break a bone, use brakes to stop your car. /rant
