Hey , my car is acting wierd . When I am idle or i press on my gas sometimes it would go but most of the time my car would just shut off ... When I go fast i have no problems but when i try to turn and stop the car would just shut off..

any suggestions ? havent tried anything so far and cant afford to go to a mechanic.

Always check the basics first. Fuel, air and spark.

Does this happen when the tank is full, half full or 1/4 full?

Fuel sloshing could be a problem?

Which model? W108, 250S/SE or 250/8?

Not part of the in-crowd since 1952. It's BRAKES not breaks. You break a bone, use brakes to stop your car. /rant

If carb equipped, the carb accelrator pumps is bad. The carb required flushing and rebuilding
