Differential change w115

hello there, i have a w115 240d, that revs a bit to much (original 3.69 diff)

so i bought a 2.65 (lsd) diff from a w116 6.9, the mounting is supposedly the same, but i have to change the flange for the hardydisc, and then i am good to go, im told.

but i was looking for a guide, how difficult it would be to change the diff, to get the driveshafts to fit (halfshafts whatever they are called :P)

is there a chance there is a guide out there for this? if not, i hope there is someone that know of this.

either way, if noone is there to help i might be the one that puts up a guide if i do get it to work.

cheers mates

final drive, rear axel w115

bytheway i have seen some threads where people asks for the gears in the rear axel, so i thought i could repost them,

these are the gears for a w115
200 4,08
230.4 3,69
200-220d 3,92
240d 3,69
240d 3,0 3,46
230.6-250ce 4vx. 3,90..5vx. 3,96
250c-280ce 4vx. 3,90..5vx. 3,96

w123
300d turbo 3.07

you can fit the finaldrives from w107, 114/115, 116, 123 and 126 (the 126 fit up to the year 1984, the 1985s got bigger)
al flanges from V8 models need to be changed, since they are bigger, other than that, the axels are the same.
