HELLO DYLAN,

THIS POST IS FROM A WHILE AGO AND I AM NOT SURE IF YOUR STILL LOOKING FOR THE PRODUCTION NUMBER FOR THE 320 WENDLER. IT HAS THE 3.4 LITER ENGINE, 78 HP, THE FACTORY PRODUCTION NUMBER IS 440704

KIND REGARDS,

PIETER
PS, QUESTION TO YOU: DO YOU HAVE THE CONTACT INFO/LOCATION WHERE THAT '20'S ROLLS ROYCE YOU FOUND IN THAT BARN IS LOCATED?

Dragone Classic Cars out of CT will likely be featuring a 320 in their spring auction if not before; this CT find has been refurbished (not restored though) in their CT shop. It is a couple years earlier than 1940. I understand these may be tougher to value than the 500 - 540K cars as less actually come on the market. I believe this one is a Cab "A".

Shofurlimo, I don't disagree with that logic in part. As a CCCA (Classic Car Club of America) member (MB 320s are all on Full Classic chassis) I understand the fact that many of these cars (any Full Classic - big Packards, ACD cars, whatever) are in collections of older members who are less internet focused whether they are here in the U.S. or in another country.

I am not sure of import figures for the 320, however I believe only about 36 of the 500K and 540K cars were originally imported and sold in the U.S. - the rest largely came here in the postwar period. My CCCA roster reflects 3 - 4 320s compared to around 20 - 25 of the larger cars. While international CCCA basically reflects U.S. ownership.

Dutchman, while this car may not be as exciting mechanically as a 500-540K, the Cab "A" is a great looking car, second only to a roadster in my opinion. If you are looking for one best of luck with it.

HELLO OLDWORLDSHEPHERDS,

I HAVE CONTACTED DRAGONE CLASSIC CARS AND THEY TOLD ME THE CAR HAS BEEN SOLD, BUT MAYBE BACK ON THE MARKET SOON. THEY WILL INFORM ME ABOUT IT.

ABOUT THE 500-540K, THEY USUALY HAVE A MUCH DIFFERENT PRICE TAG THAN A 320. RECENTLY A 500K WAS FOR SALE IN SPAIN FOR 1.4 M EURO, WE MADE AN OFFER, BUT WAS NO ACCEPTED. WHEN WE CONTACTED THE SELLER AGAIN, THE CAR HAD BEEN SOLD. (PROBABLY CLOSE TO THAT AMOUNT)
THIS MONTH WE GOT EAR ABOUT A 540 SSK FOR SALE IN THE 3 M RANGE....

Dutchman, good luck with your search. The Dragone brothers are good guys and maybe people to keep in contact with. A friend was interested in this car but they could not come to terms - would love to know what it eventually sold for. As is typical with these, I am sure it sold by word of mouth as they never had it on their website.

IF I GET WORD IT BEING BACK ON THE MARKET, I CAN LET YOU KNOW WHAT THE ASKING PRICE IS. BUT IN THIS "INVESTMENT" ENVIRONMENT IT IS NOT COMMON THAT PEOPLE TELL WHAT THEY BOUGHT IT FOR. (BAD FOR BUSINESS)
